THERE IS ALWAYS TIME TO DREAM BAJA CALIFORNIA.

Ensenada

Ensenada is a port city on the Pacific coast of Mexico’s Baja California peninsula. At its heart is the harbor and waterfront area with the Malecón promenade. Once a casino, the Riviera de Ensenada is now a cultural center. The nearby Museum of History and the Regional Historical Museum trace the area’s people and past. Migrating gray whales visit the waters offshore. Southwest of the city is La Bufadora blowhole. ― Google

Quick tour of Ensenada

Tips for the cruiser

On Blvd Marina is Ensenada’s best corn place Elotekua to your right as you exit the monumental flag square.

Head towards Alvarado which is the street directly off the monumental flag square two blocks up is La Guerrerense, famous people rave about this place, I come here for their Erizo, really good tostadas and ceviches. It’s at the corner of Calle Primera and Alvarado.

On Calle Primera heading north is where all the tourist shopping places are for souvenirs, clothing, leather, and silver. And towards the end of Calle Primera is where Papa’s and Beer, Hussong’s Cantina are and where other bars are located.

For the best Birria, I recommend Birrieria La Guadalajara, a la Plancha style.

And of course the obligatory trip to La Bufadora.

If you want to go shopping for clothes where locals go head to Coppel and Opera, which are in downtown Ensenada. Best to Uber. There are other stores in downtown for this type of shopping.

There’s two good Korean buffets KCook and 260 Grados.

Seafood. There’s Mercado Negro, La Cocedora de Langosta for lobster. My personal go to is Mariscos Bahia de Ensenada on Ave Riveroll

On Castillo Ave. is Baja Trip ATV rental

Tara garden, a place to meditate.

La Mirador to get a view of the whole of Ensenada.

Have fun and be safe.
